Hi, I’m Janet and I am a woman changed by who Jesus is.

Changed from what?

Like everyone, I’ve given myself labels. Sorry to say the majority of the labels are negative. They sounded like: I’m ugly, I’m not smart enough, I’m not necessary, I’m not valuable, I’m a failure, and the list continues, is repeated, and cripples.

When I’ve asked for help with my labels, I’d be told “Janet, find your identity in Christ!”.  I wanted to scream! I knew that was the right answer but how do I do that? I was missing something.

About ten years ago a group of college students and I were introduced to a video series called Gospel Fluency (also a book). In the videos, we were given tools showing us how to use the gospel to find our identity in Christ.

We were awestruck at a glimpse of how using these gospel applying tools could change our lives forever, if we let it.

My life was changed!  In fact the majority of those watching with me also changed!

I wanted to really “get it” so I went home and re-watched the video series at least eight times. I’ve also spent the last ten years reading and hunting for the gospel. I use the tools to overcome my labels. Daily I’m learning more and more how the gospel applies to every area of my life.

Yes I’ve had stubborn spells. Yes I’ve messed up. But the gospel applies even then.
One of my biggest struggles with doing this website and ministry is it can’t be about me. I fail. Daily I wrestle applying the gospel to my issues.  A new tough situation pops up, I wobble. My wisdom is nothing except what Jesus gives through me.
"Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted. Unless the Lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good.”
Psalm‬ ‭127:1‬ ‭NLT‬‬
Why then am I gospel coaching?
Because Jesus works. The Gospel works.

Everyone deserves to know how to use the freedom God has given us through Jesus. Good answers are everywhere but only the Gospel changes us from the inside to out. I get the privilege of sharing it.
